Shawn is an artist working primarily with oil and acrylic paint. He has used a wide variety of acrylic techniques, mediums, and products. Today he is focusing on oil paint, and beginning to explore the historical working methods of many famous old master artists. As part of this exploration he is creating his own oil paint from raw pigment and linseed oil. He is also experimenting with additives like marble dust, chalk, and pre-polymerised linseed oil. Stay tuned for articles about these new processes soon.  His work is shown in various cities across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. He works primarily with realistic, yet expressive, figurative scenes. These scenes often feature couples together in romantic settings.
